Custom portfolios match a clients' particular risk/reward profile. For example, a small cap growth and value portfolio may be appropriate for aggressive investors, whereas a big cap growth and value portfolio may be appropriate for investors wanting to avoid occasional sharp, short-term fluctuations of small cap stocks.
Investors can also participate in foreign markets or add a fixed income component to their portfolio.
Clients often come to HCM with equity portfolios overweighted in one or more styles. Through Custom Portfolio Analysis, HCM studies individual portfolios to determine which styles are missing or underrepresented.
